A nice overall ending… but I’m sad that everyone got some kind of happy ending except Alyssa. Why do black women always get shafted in so many stories??
I actually thought about having her and Kamski reconcile at the end, because I’ve watched telenovelas for a while as a kid and I’ve always been obsessed with pairing people together because I thought that was what happy endings were all about, but my co-writer made me realize the fact that someone (or at least, some people) don’t need of a romantic relationship to be fully happy and that Alyssa not getting back with Kamski is in no way a bad ending for her. She may feel bad at the moment, but she’ll make it, because she is alive, stronger and even more independent.
Chapter was updated. Hopefully it fixes the issue.
